Freedom from Fear
The Lord has been speaking to me that He wants to deliver people from fear. God wants to deliver people from the fear of man; fear of rejection; fear of failure; fear of disappointment; fear of criticism; fear of lack of money; fear of the enemy/demons; fear of death; fear of disapproval; fear of success; fear of making mistakes; fear of sickness; fear of love/relationship; fear of being hurt; fear of abandonment; fear of not being good enough; fear of being alone; fear of shame or humiliation; fear of heights; fear of being fat; fear of animals/bugs and every form of fear.
It is interesting how fear manifests itself in so many different ways and forms. The Lord has shown me these fears we encounter are not something normal that we should embrace or accept. Fear does not come from God. The only fear that is good is the fear of God, every other form of fear is not from God but from the enemy. The Lord has shown me the key to being set free and delivered from all fear is to be delivered from the demon of fear. Many times people think fear is something that comes from themselves and they have to embrace it as their own, but it is actually a demon attacking your mind. The demon of fear has spoken lies of fear and people have believed the lies and embraced the fear as their own.
The good news is Jesus holds the keys to set you free from all fear. Jesus holds the keys to set the captive free just like Jesus said in Luke 4:18, “The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed.” Jesus also said, “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” John 8:36 Through the power of Jesus we all have the ability to be free from every fear and every demon. The key I have found to being set free is to first repent for opening the door and welcoming the demon of fear into your life, believing the lies and ask God to forgive you for inviting the demon of fear into your life. Then ask Jesus to deliver you from the demon of fear. The next recommendation I would say would be to ask Jesus for His faith because the opposite of fear is faith. In order to not be afraid you need the faith of God to drive out fear. We also know that the Bible says that “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.” 1 John 4:18. Invite the love of God to fill your life so that God’s love can drive out all fear.
The Lord showed me that when He created us He created us without fear! When Adam and Eve were in the garden with God they were without fear until they ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. It says in Genesis 3:8-10 “And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. But the Lord God called to the man and said to him, Where are you? And he said, I heard the sound of you in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked, and I hid myself.”

Prior to partaking in that fruit they only knew God and everything that was good and true. After disobeying God and eating the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil fear entered their lives. They hid in shame and fear. When God created them they were without fear until that point. The Lord spoke to me that we were not created to be in fear or to be afraid and He wants us to be full of faith just like it was in the garden of Eve.

Our destiny is to be completely free from all fear! With fear can also come shame as well so invite God to deliver you from fear and shame. We were created to be full of faith, full of God’s Presence, His peace & joy. I encourage you to ask God to set you free from fear. You were created for freedom! I believe when we are free from fear that is when God can use us in a more powerful way because we are not allowing fear to hold us back from all the things God has for us. “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7.
