God Does Not Disappoint

God spoke to me last night the phrase, “God does not disappoint.” I believe God wants to encourage your heart if you have been struggling with disappointment to know that God does not disappoint. Even though things may not be happening as quickly as you would like and even if your prayers have not been answered yet, just know that God will not disappoint you and that a delayed answer from God does not always mean no. Just because you have not seen your prayers come to pass yet does not mean it will still not happen. But even if your prayers do not come to pass, God always has the best for you. It says in Romans 5:5, “And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because He has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love.” His will and plan for your life is perfect and you will not be disappointed with the plans, purposes and path He has chosen for your life!

As your Creator and Father God, He knows you better than anyone knows you and He has a special plan for your life. As you seek God and His will then His plans and purposes for your life will begin to unfold and be made clear. It says in Psalms‬ ‭37:4‬, “Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you your heart’s desires. It also says in Isaiah 30:21, “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voicebehind you, saying, This is the way; walk in it.” God will lead and guide you along the perfect path He has chosen for your life and He always has your best interest in mind. God’s plans and ways are perfect and you can trust Him.

I believe the key to overcoming disappointment and not allowing yourself to be disappointed is to put your hope and trust fully in God. It says in Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path.” When you put your hope and trust in God you will not be disappointed and you will see that God will not disappoint you. God says in Hebrews 13:5, “I will never leave you or forsake you.” You will not be disappointed by trusting in God. God is so trustworthy. God is more faithful than any human can ever be. God is so kind, good and loving and He is worthy of all our love, affection, hope and trust in Him.
I want to encourage any of you who are struggling with disappointment and/or you feel like God has disappointed you, ask God to set you free from the disappointment; invite Him to heal your heart from any pain and then ask God to fill you with His faith, hope and love. If you have found that it has been hard for you to trust God, ask Him to help you feel safe and to help you trust Him with all your heart. One of the keys I have found that has worked in my own life is I got to a place where I decided to fully yield myself to God, completely let go of control and give myself over to God and fully trust Him. Once I fully let go and opened my heart completely to God I encountered Him in a greater and more powerful way than I had ever before and I experienced firsthand how safe and trustworthy He is. God is more trustworthy with your heart than any human because He does not wound or hurt you, but God heals your heart and guards your heart.

My prayer is that you would no longer be discouraged or disappointed, but full of faith and hope for the bright future God has for your life!
