Did God Not Create the Firmament, the World, the Universe, Humanity and Every Living Thing? Is Anything Impossible for God?

God recently said to me, did I not create the firmament, the world and the universe? I was thanking God for His faithfulness regarding a situation where He gave us favor during a time where my faith was being tested. We have had to walk in a greater level of faith recently, more than before and at times I have struggled with fear and lack of faith. I have had to completely depend upon God and trust Him with everything and every step of our lives. So when I expressed my gratitude to God for His favor, it came from a place where I had really been struggling with fear and lack of faith and that is why God said what He did to me. It was such a powerful response for me because God had to remind me of who He was. Did I not know who He was, did I not remember what God has done and what God is capable of? Do we really believe that God is all powerful and capable of anything? Do we really understand that nothing is impossible for God, not figuratively speaking; but literally there is not one thing that is impossible for God to do. Just as is says in Luke 1:37, “For with God nothing will be impossible.” What God has challenged me with is do I actually believe that, when your faith is tested and all you have is God, do you believe that nothing is impossible for God?
Given the fact that God created the firmament, the world, the entire universe, humanity and every living thing means that God is limitless and there is nothing He cannot do. God created everything from nothing. All God had to do is speak the world into existence and from nothing everything came into being. That is the power that God posseses. God holds the entire universe and world in His hand.

After hearing God ask me that question I was reminded of why it is so essential for me to have faith and to believe that nothing is impossible for God. I have heard that phrase and read that Bible verse so many times, but I don’t think I fully believed it as it relates to everything in my own life and my family. Because of my fear of the unknown and not being in control of what was going to take place in my life, I did not live from a place of faith and believing that with God all things are possible for my life and my family. After God said that to me it opened my eyes and reminded me of who God was and what He is capable of and the limitless power of God. Just like Jesus said in Matthew 19:26, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” There is no one and nothing as powerful as God! Nothing can hinder or stop God from doing anything and the fact that God has the power to create everything from nothing should remind us of who He is and His limitless power. It challenged my faith, my unbelief and fear. I realized when I fear the unknown and do not trust God completely with all areas of my life it is because I am not remembering who He is and what He is capable of.

I also came to realize that I and I believe others think God is limited to do things according to our human system, world, ways and traditions. God is not limited to anything in this world or human system, God is limitless, there is nothing that can hinder or stop God. I realized that when I am in fear and unbelief it is coming from a place of not seeing God for who He is and for what He is capable of doing. When I am in fear and unbelief I place God in a box and I think God is restrained by human limitations rather than having faith in who God is and an understanding that He is capable of everything and God cannot be boxed or limited by anything in this world.

I feel God is not only wanting to remind me of this truth, but also remind others of who He really is and what He is capable of. For us to not limit God, but for us to be reminded of the power God possesses. To be reminded of the fact that God created the whole world, the universe and every living thing and He is powerful. When we fear and do not trust Him I have learned it is because we don’t really know and believe who He is and what He is capable of. God is not limited to our human capabilities and He cannot be boxed or contained.

Throughout my whole life I have grown to learn that God is so trustworthy and faithful. God is more safe and trustworthy than any human and He cares for us. I have grown through trials and testing of my faith that you can trust your life into the hands of God. Although I still struggle with fear and unbelief during times of testing in my life I have grown each time I am put in positions where I have to trust God. Each time God has me in a position where He forces me to trust Him in the unknown and take leaps of faith, I have grown to trust God more and He creates a deeper dependence upon Him. Each time I am faced with having to trust God, my faith has grown and I learn more about the character and nature of God. God wants us to need Him. He wants to take care of us and He wants to provide for us. We are His children and He is our Father who loves to provide and take care of His children. If there is any area in our lives where God sees we do not trust Him with that area of our life or we are fearful and have unbelief, it has been my experience that God always has me face those fears and they become a reality so that I can overcome those fears and learn to trust God in that place.

I have literally had to face every fear I have had in life and each time God challenges me more and more and takes me deeper in Him. It doesn’t always get easier, over the years God has challenged me more and more and the more I grow closer to the Lord it seems the more the Lord addresses every place of fear and has me walk out this journey into overcoming fear and coming into faith. It comes from a place of love and I believe the goal of God is for me to be completely free of fear so that I can completely trust Him. The reason it is so important to be free from fear is because in my own experience when I am in fear and not trusting God it causes me to not be as open and close to the Lord, fear becomes a barrier between me and the Lord. As I am free from those fears it’s as if all the walls and barriers come down and I feel closer to the Lord.

My prayer is for every person reading this, if you struggle with any kind of fear and/or unbelief I pray God delivers you from your fears and unbelief and He gives you faith. I pray you have a revelation of who God is and how trustworthy and faithful He is. I pray that you grow in an understanding of who God is and you come to see that nothing is impossible with God. I pray you see all the power that God possesses and you realize that there is nothing God cannot do. I pray that as you grow in the Lord you will see, know and understand that God is limitless and He is capable of doing anything in your life.

Here is the Scripture in Genesis on Firmament:
“And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.”
