God spoke the phrase to me, “Do Not Look Back” and I believe this is not only a personal word, but a corporate word God is speaking right now.

I believe God is saying do not look to the past and do not compare what God is doing now to what has taken place in the past. Don’t allow what you expect to happen or what you want to happen to keep you from receiving what God has for you now. Do not hold onto the past. You have to be willing to let go of the past to be able to embrace the future. The future will not look like what has taken place in our lives in the past. Don’t let your past dictate your future. Do not let your past hold you back from the future promises God has. It says in the book of Revelation, “And He who was seated on the throne said, Behold, I am making all things new. Also He said, write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” Revelation‬ ‭21:5‬ ESV‬‬. God is making all things new in your life!

God wants you to give all your disappointments, pain, failures, sorrows, regrets and mistakes of the past to Him and embrace the future He has for you! ‭I believe it is still important to remember the blessings God has poured out in the past and all the good things that have happened in the past, but don’t allow yourself to be stuck or hindered by the past. I‬t says in Philippians, “…Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.”‭ Philippians 3:13-14. ‬
I believe in order for us to walk in our destiny in God we must be willing to let go of our past and fully yield ourselves to God and what He wants to do in our lives. I feel God wants to set people free from all fear and lead us into a place of complete trust and surrender. I believe God is after total abandonment of our lives to Him. I believe in this place of surrender God can fully use and transform our lives in such a way that will be so powerful. ‬
My prayer for you is that God would help you let go of the past to embrace your destiny in God. I pray that you would have a revelation of the plans God has for your life. We know God’s plans for your life are good and we know this because in Jeremiah it says, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬ ‭NIV‬‬. I pray that you do not look back, but keep your eyes upon Jesus as He leads you to your glorious future with Him! ‬
